A Bond Forged in Memory

Kevin’s journey with Broncos began with his father’s 1979 —the only vivid memory he has of him. That early connection planted a lasting love for these iconic rigs and a desire to own one (or three) of his own, in part, in order to be “a little closer to him.” Over the years, that passion has only grown, turning into a full-blown lifestyle built around Bronco restoration, exploration, and community.

Kevin’s Broncos

  • 1966 Bronco (“Dana”)

  • 1970 Bronco (“The Turd”)

  • 1968 Bronco (Frame-off Project)

Each of Kevin’s Broncos has its own story:

  • Dana, the '66: Found through a friend of a friend in New Mexico, Dana hadn’t run in four years and sported weather-worn paint. Kevin brought her back to life, getting the engine running and painstakingly restoring the exterior.

  • The Turd, the '70: Discovered in a field near Mt. Spokane, this Bronco had been sitting for over 12 years, literally covered in horse manure. It earned the nickname “The Turd” thanks to both the condition and the color. Kevin took three months to negotiate the buy, and since then, has rebuilt nearly every part except the engine—which still runs strong despite a little smoke.

  • The '68 Project: Traded for two 1979 Bronco projects, this Bronco is currently undergoing a full frame-off restoration. Kevin has completed the frame and is gearing up to start on the body.

Customizations and Modifications

  • Dana: Brought back to running condition and upgraded with an Explorer serpentine belt system.

  • The Turd: Fully rewired, touched nearly every bolt, added a 3.5-inch suspension lift, and mounted 37-inch tires.

Looking Ahead

Kevin is deep into his 1968 frame-off build and is excited to bring this Bronco back to life. With the frame ready, the next phase will focus on restoring and customizing the body.

Favorite Club Events

“All of them.” For Kevin, every INWBC event offers a great chance to be around amazing Broncos and even more amazing Bronco people. He loves spending time with like-minded enthusiasts and embracing the fun, laid-back atmosphere.

The Power of Community

The club has widened Kevin’s horizons, introducing him to people well beyond the Spokane area and events he may never have known about otherwise. Being part of the INWBC has brought connection, knowledge, and plenty of inspiration.

Bronco Adventures

Kevin’s list of favorite adventures includes bucket list-worthy trips:

  • The Rubicon Trail – completed twice!

  • Libby, MT Car Show Weekend – an unforgettable journey with the '66.

  • Local Cruises – always a blast, and a great way to support local businesses.

Dream Bronco Journey

Driving the completed 1968 Bronco to Townsend, Tennessee for the Super Celebration would be the ultimate adventure—a coast-to-coast celebration of Bronco history, community and horsepower.

Beyond the Garage

When not working on Broncos, Kevin plays in a billiards league and has qualified for the national event in Las Vegas three years in a row.

Fun Fact

While Kevin thinks he’s probably shared most things with the club already, one thing is certain: he’s always willing to help, share, and learn.

Final Words

Two of Kevin's favorite quotes are “Get ’em running, keep ’em running, save ’em all” and "Teamwork makes the dream work. You don’t always have to tackle everything by yourself."

Kevin embodies the spirit of the Bronco community—dedicated, generous, and always learning. He believes no one knows everything, but together, the INWBC knows a heck of a lot. And that’s the power of the Bronco family.
