Derick & Monica’s Bronco Story:

Their journey began in Soda Springs, Idaho, when they picked up a 2022 Wildtrak that was never meant to be a long-term vehicle. Originally, it was ordered in Velocity Blue, but when the “Blanco Bronco” idea came up, it just had to be white.

The plan was to use it as a daily driver for a couple of months and then sell it to the next person… good thing that plan didn’t stick!

From 2022 to today, nothing in their lives looks the same, including the Bronco: “We never imagined it would become our adventure mobile, yet, here we are, three years later, with a Bronco that’s been part of our family from the very first mile.”

From Texas to California to Hawaii, and from hanging out with Matt’s Offroad, Mischief Maker’s Hollie Fowler and to the Count’s Kustoms crew at SEMA - The Bronco has opened doors and carried this family through countless road trips, late-night laughs and memories they’ll never forget.

Along they way, they’ve “met incredible people, explored amazing places, rock crawled it and jumped it all to realize just how wild and unpredictable life can be when you get off your couch.”

Extensive Modifications:

After several small modifications early on, Blanco Bronco was built for SEMA 2024 and continues to evolve. In their words, it “used to be a Wildtrak.”

Most of the modifications to date:

“An Armadillo Designs hard top with custom interior (fun fact, it’s the Wildtrak logo!), Funhaver widebody kit, Cervini hood, JRI double adjustable coilovers for suspension and JRI upper control arms, Ford Performance tie rods, Ford performance CVs, muffler delete, DV8 inner fenders, RockJock rear sway bar, rock lights, Warn winch on RC high mount, RockKrawler 4link kit truss on the rear end, MetalCloak trailing arms, full underbelly skids (lowers in the front and rear diff too), DV8 trailing arm skids, DV8 overhead molle with a Rugged Radio, wired in XKGlow search and rescue system/XKCommand center, Tuffy rear toolbox, red/black custom Katzkin leather, painted dash, aftermarket steering wheel, USSpeedo gauges, Fittipaldi wheels with 37s, cold air intake… I know there’s more but that’s a start!”

Future Plans:

While nothing specific was shared, Derick and Monica did confirm that there are “no plans to slow down or stop modifying and adventuring anytime soon.”

Favorite Trip:

Too many to choose only one favorite trip, as they’ve traveled wide and far, building memories everywhere they’ve gone.

Dream Adventure:

After helping Dave and Sandy ship their Baja Bronco to Hawaii, they’d love to ship Blanco somewhere new and explore it from behind the wheel.

Favorite Club Event:

The Bronco Games: “Watching everybody giggle as they slide around in either mud or snow is PRICELESS.”

Impact of the Club:

Derick and Monica’s first Bronco event was the 2022 Bronco Roundup, before the Inland Northwest Bronco Club officially formed. Unsure what to expect, they reached out to Ed and immediately felt welcomed.

This club became their introduction to the Bronco community and remains their “original Bronco family.”

Free Time:

Creating videos, spending time with their sons, and making memories centered around Broncos and the people who drive them.

Fun Fact:

Their orange Bronco 2 was Monica’s high school rig, which is part of what made the new Bronco instantly feel like home.

Message to Fellow Members:

“Get off the couch and go create an adventure - it might just change your whole life.”
